This time, it's the "Kuru Kuru Move."
Spin it round and round, and something happens... Enjoy this one-of-a-kind slice of the "Nojima World"!
This time, we introduce a new sleight called the "Kuru Kuru Move."
It is an original technique by Nobuyuki Nojima, yet it isn't especially difficult.
You simply take a card inserted into the middle of the deck, protruding about halfway, and spin it horizontally with the other hand.
...Put that way, many of you are probably thinking, "Wait, I already know that one."
It's a classic flourish, right?
The kind sometimes used as a "magic gesture" after a Double Lift, just before revealing a transformation.
Rather than spinning the card in your hand, you spin it "by hand" while it's still inserted in the deck.
It's a small flourish that most card magicians probably know, even if they aren't flourish specialists.
Of course, Nojima didn't invent that.
What we present here is its evolution and expansion.
The idea: what if you spun a packet of several cards instead of just one?
...You may well respond, "So you added more cards. So what?"
But here's the surprise: by exploiting the unique properties of using multiple cards, a whole new world of effects suddenly opens up.
Allow us to guide you into that world.
We explain both the basic move and its practical routines.
■Kuru Kuru Move
First, an explanation of the technique itself.
Several cards are squared together and inserted into the deck in an outjogged position, then spun horizontally.
Although it evolves from the classic single-card method, simply doing it the same way will probably not work with multiple cards.
That's where Nojima's own refinements come in.
He has modified the grip and handling so the packet spins reliably.
This is the foundation of all the routines below, so master this basic first.
■Kuru Kuru Sandwich
When two Jokers are spun round inside the deck, a single card appears between them, and it's the spectator's card.
A simple routine applying this technique to a sandwich-style card location.
There are countless sandwich effects, but this form is unique and unlike anything seen before.
The card "appears" between them as they spin... it reads as both a production and an extraction, giving it a distinctive look.
The effect happens within a crisp, satisfying spinning motion.
Simple, yet a pleasure to watch and to perform.
■Double Kuru Kuru Sandwich
A further development of the routine above.
First, a card appears between the Jokers.
Then, simply by spinning again, the center card changes into a different card.
It works well for locating two selections, or presented sucker-trick style as "a mistake followed by a recovery."
Through the spinning action, the "first card" sandwiched between them returns into the deck automatically (?)...
and when you spin again, a different card is now sandwiched.
Since you're only spinning the cards horizontally, it seems impossible to switch the sandwiched card...
yet the card is changed by a logical method.
■Kuru Kuru Production
When a single Ace is spun, the number of Aces increases with every spin until all four Aces are revealed.
A Kuru Kuru version of an Ace Opener.
Through a clever combination of ideas, the cards genuinely multiply one by one: from one to two, then three, and finally four.
Because the cards multiply in a lengthwise spread, the effect is easy to follow and highly visual.
The flourish-like motion itself is fascinating to anyone who has never seen it.
It has a powerful attention-grabbing effect.
In the "Kuru Kuru Move" routines, the effect happens simultaneously with that eye-catching spinning action.
A visual effect occurring at the exact point where the audience's focus is concentrated: how could it not be effective?
We never imagined that what seemed to be a simple flourish (a classic technique) could expand this far.
A unique perspective, along with ideas and ingenuity, made it possible.
We hope you enjoy it too.
━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━…
All techniques and routines are performed with just one regular deck.
This is gimmick-free card magic you can do with a regular deck.
And while it is sleight of hand (technical), it is not particularly difficult or virtuosic.
With a little practice, most people should be able to master it.
No troublesome setup is required, so you can work these into your usual repertoire however you like.
Using the "Kuru Kuru Production" as an opener and leading into a Four Ace routine would also be great.
Each routine here stands alone, and they aren't really designed to be performed back to back...
but it's not impossible to link them, so if you'd like to, feel free to explore.

Incidentally, our site has a "Related Products" section below.
It's meant to suggest products with some common ground or connection for your reference...
but this time, try as we might, we simply couldn't find any other trick with similarities.
"Nothing similar can be found" is proof of just how original this idea is.
If you're looking for something truly new, be sure to check it out.
Above all, the spinning action is fun to perform. That's the "Kuru Kuru Move."
Come on, let's all spin together!
Transcript Summary
Running time: approx. 26 minutes
The second installment in the One Concept video series, this lecture explains the "Kuru Kuru Move," a technique for spinning a squared packet of several cards within the deck without them misaligning, along with routines that apply it.
First, the basic action is carefully explained: with the cards inserted into the center of the deck, they are pinched between the left index finger and right thumb, and the spin is driven by the entire right hand and wrist to prevent the cards from shifting. Numerous fine handling points are demonstrated, including finger placement, how to apply pressure, and a method of bending the cards to draw several out together.
(1) Kuru Kuru Sandwich: The spectator's selection is controlled to the top, the two Jokers are shown before the card is sandwiched between them, and the Kuru Kuru Move is then used to make the card appear, revealing it as a sandwich effect.
(2) Double Kuru Kuru Sandwich: A development of (1), structured as a two-stage sucker trick in which an apparent mistake is shown first, then the Kuru Kuru Move is performed again to produce the correct card between the Jokers. Beyond the single-spectator "failure" presentation, an application for locating two spectators' cards in turn is also suggested.
(3) Kuru Kuru Production: An Ace production in which four Aces set in the center of the deck are increased one at a time by repeating the Kuru Kuru Move, until all four appear. Concealment techniques exploiting the audience's blind spots are also explained, including a setup that hides the cards in a stepped arrangement and a secret move performed with the deck held upright.
Although the technique itself is simple, it is presented as a highly versatile move applicable to many situations, such as sandwiching, displays, and productions, making this ideal for intermediate performers who want to deepen their fundamental card magic skills.
